The design of a purpose-built cradle is being drawn up. This will allow the hull to be fully supported, to enable it to be turned and also locked in place, which in turn will facilitate repair and restoration work. The cradle is based on the design taken from the National Historic Ships book Conserving Historic Vessels (please see below).
