Les, Matt and Nick were on site to start the erection of the frame, and John had the Clarke telehandler. Les very accurately marked out the position of the corner base plates, the holes were drilled and the securing pins driven home.
The rear arch was lifted, carefully manoeuvred into place and located onto the base plates.
The next two arches, with the base plates attached, were manoevred into place and located with the purlins. Then lunchtime. In the afternoon we knew what we were doing, except one arch had to be turned around. The last two locating holes joining the front arch to the base plate were 1 mm out of alignment, and had to be enlarged with a 11mm dia drill. Full credit to Les for his accurate marking out.
